Supported the migration of a legacy Oracle custom application into SharePoint. Primary technologies include: Windows Server 2008/2012 R2, SharePoint 2010/2013, SQL Server 2008R2/2014, VMware ESX 5.x, Unified Access Gateway 2010, AvePoint SharePoint backup/management solution and Kemp Technology Load-balancers.

The Hartford, Hartford Connecticut: Completed Discovery and Design documentation phases of a High Speed Remote Access and Secure Application Publishing solution for SharePoint 2013, Exchange 2013 and Lync 2013 using Microsoft’s Unified Access Gateway. The solution supported employees and partners across the globe.


ULSUrban Lending Solutions, Boulder, CO: Remotely Installed and Configured a Virtualized (VSphere), Highly Available SharePoint 2010 w/SQL Server 2008 R2 Farm. Created customized Theme, Built out Taxonomy and migrated content from Legacy SharePoint site. Technologies included Windows Server 2008 R2, SharePoint 2010, SQL Server 2008.


symantecSymantec, Remote: Remotely assisted with the build-out of a technology preview solution and produced relevant documentation. Below are the following technologies used in the solution: Microsoft SharePoint 2010, SQL Server 2008 R2, Symantec HA, Endpoint Protection, VERITAS Storage Foundation , VMware: VSphere, Virtual Center and SRM, HP Storage Manager and Replication Software.

Intelligence and Security Command, Fort Belvoir, VA: Developed SharePoint 2010 Best Practices design scenarios in a multi-level security environment (Coalition, JWICS, SIPRNET, NIPRNET environment) to include Disaster Recovery Solution design using VMware Site Recovery Manager. Developed high-level Enterprise Wide Load-balancing solution using F5 3600 and 1600 appliances as well as enhancing current Virtual Infrastructure environment (VSphere ESXi).

ACCAir Combat Command, Langley AFB, VA: Currently Architecting and deploying a highly available large SharePoint Server 2007 and SQL Server 2008 farm in support of 85,000 users on VMWare’s VSphere 4.0 as well as implementing a Continuity of Operations solution using VMWare’s Site Recovery Manager (SRM) and EMC’s Recovery Point solutions.


BallAerospaceBall Aerospace, Boulder, CO: Deployed a robust, highly available, Collaboration Forest in support of Ball Aerospace’s need to collaborate with United States Air Force organizations on large scale projects using Office SharePoint Server 2007, SQL Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Threat Management Gateway 2010, and Forefront Security for SharePoint technologies.


EUCOMUnited States European Command, Patch Barracks, Germany: Architected and deployed a Secure command wide, highly available, multi-farm Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) portal solution in support EUCOM Key Leaders and Staff, Internal and External users and non-Department of Defense/Governmental agencies. The solution supported both internal and external collaboration and information sharing needs throughout EUCOM’s Area of Responsibility (AOR). Technologies included Windows Server 2008, MOSS, SQL Server 2008, Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2006, and CISCO ACE Load-Balancer.


MDAMissile Defense Agency, Shriever AFB, CO: Requirements gathering and architecture design for a highly available, collaborative solution to support Intranet and Mission Partner users. That is all we can say about that.


USAIRUS Airways, Phoenix, AZ: Architected and Implemented a Office SharePoint Server 2007 Medium Farm solution in support of US Airways collaboration effort in a hybrid, physical and virtual environment. Deployment includes 2 x Web / Search Front-ends, 1 x Index and 1 x Application Server with a SQL Server 2008 Cluster on the back-end. All servers are Windows 2008 x64. Created scripts to deploy over a 130 content databases and site collections. Created customized sites for specialized use in dealing with Swine Flu pandemic. Also, deployed the SharePoint Training Kit to support the various Division and Departments training needs.


IRWINNational Training Center, Fort Irwin, CA: Implemented a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) publishing portal for the United States Army National Training Center and Fort Irwin Garrison. Project involved designing look and feel (banner graphics, custom master page, page layouts, and CSS modification) and migrating legacy content from Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 to MOSS.


NORTHCOMUnited States Northern Command J32S, Peterson AFB, CO: Architected and deployed a Unified Messaging Solution that included VMWare ESX 3.5, Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 Active Directory Forest/Domain, Exchange Server 2007 SP1, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 SP1, Office Communications Server 2007, and SQL Server 2005 SP2.


JPLJet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, CA: Architected and deployed a Microsoft based Unified Messaging Solution that included VMWare ESX 3.5, a Multi-Forest Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 Active Directory, Exchange Server 2007 SP1, Symantec Enterprise Vault 2007, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 SP1, Office Communications Server 2007, and SQL Server 2005 SP2. The solution provided JPL lab and executive personnel with a state of the art, highly available, data services, messaging and real-time communications solution with multiple client interfaces (Linux, Macintosh, Windows XP/Vista, Firefox, Opera, IE, Netscape).


USSTRATCOMUnited States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) J6, Offutt AFB, NE: Architected and designed a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 solution to support USSTRATCOM internal and external users. Built-out a highly available, virtualized (Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 SP1) test environment, so that J6 Personnel could begin familiarizing themselves with new collaborative solution technologies and start the planning process for migrating from SharePoint Portal Server 2003 to Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.

United States Northern Command J6, Peterson AFB, CO: Provided input to the Command’s Five Year Plan. Helped optimize the commands Active Directory forest and collaborative solutions environment, which supports Department of Defense, National and Local Government and Non-government inter-agency collaboration.


AFCENTUnited States Air Force Central Command, Shaw AFB, SC: Provided architecture and design support for multi-site, highly available MOSS Publishing and Collaboration portal solution.


NAVSEANaval Surface War Fare Center (NSWC), Crane, Indiana: Created three Microsoft SharePoint portals (1) Mega portal that roles up sites and content from three other Naval agencies (2) Intranet that allows project managers to more effectively manage projects (3) Created a portal template and automated installation process that allows the NSWC to rapidly deploy SharePoint to over 350 United States Navy ships.


IIIMEF III Marine Expeditionary Force, Okinawa, Japan: Returned to the IIIMEF to support a major theater level exercise by deploying Microsoft based collaborative solutions. Stood up three Command and Control portals using Microsoft’s SharePoint Portal 2003 on NIPR, SIPR and RIPR Networks; also deployed network monitoring solution using Microsoft Operations Manager.


JTFGNOJoint Task Force, Global Network Operations (JTF-GNO), Arlington, VA: Implemented a SharePoint Portal Server 2003 solution that supported the Global Network Operations (JTF-GNO) Center for the U.S. Department of Defense. This portal is key in the production and dissemination of products Internal and External to JTF-GNO, and will leverage SharePoint’s ability to integrate with disparate systems to provide the organization with a User Defined Operational Picture. Microsoft’s Live Communication Server (LCS) 2005 SP1 is an integral component of the overall solution and will provide personnel with Presence, Free-busy information, Instant Messaging, and Peer-to-Peer Video and Voice conversation capabilities.


JFCC-IMDJoint Forces Component Command (Integrated Missile Defense), ManTech Space Operations Group, Defense Information Systems Agency, Colorado Springs, CO: Hosted SharePoint Portal Server 2003, project management and demonstration portals for these organizations.


7thIDDirector of Information Management, Fort Carson, CO: Provided consulting services to a prime contractor for the installation of a Microsoft LCS 2005 SP1 server. I was able to leverage my experience of running LCS 2005 SPS1 in a lab and on my demonstration machines to assist with the successful installation. LCS 2005 SP1 requires pre-planning prior to installation which was born out of working with it in a lab environment since it’s release.


IIIMEFIII Marine Expeditionary Force, Okinawa, Japan: Rapidly stood up three Microsoft Best Practice and highly available SharePoint Portal Server 2003 (SPS) based portals to support the Asian relief efforts following the earthquake and subsequent tsunami disaster. Installed and configured Live Communications Server 2003 to support presence information within SharePoint.


AFSPCAir Force Space Command, Space Operations Squadron, Peterson AFB, CO Architected, implemented, trained and supported SPS and Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) based Command and Control portal which was submitted for Microsoft Solution of the Year; 2,500+ users.

NORTHCOMUnited States Northern Command, Peterson AFB, CO: Conducted Workgroup Manager information gathering sessions as well as meeting with leaders and staff to Architect, Design, Test and Deliver a highly available SharePoint technology based portal solution for 3 networks (NIPR, SIPR and RELCAN). This solution allowed the command to collaborate both internally and externally with DoD, NGOs, first responders and other government agencies. The foundations and use case are still in use today after 7 years; although on newer hardware and current SharePoint technologies. Also provided small group and one on one training to majority of command personnel (1,500+ users).


AETCAir Education Training Command, Randolph AFB, TX: Architected and implemented SharePoint based document management and command and control portal; 250 users.


6thFLEETCommander Sixth Fleet, USN, Gaeta, Italy: Deployed to Gaeta, Italy and sailed on the USS LaSalle (6th Fleet Command Ship) and worked with Command and Staff to implement a robust, highly available SharePoint portal solution (1,200+ users).

CANGCalifornia National Guard, Sacramento, CA: Architected and implemented content management solution based on Microsoft SharePoint. Migrated from Microsoft Content Management Server to SharePoint.


WHCAlWhite House Communications Agency: Architected a new Microsoft Windows Active Directory Forest and Exchange environment in support of a migration from Novel GroupWise to Microsoft Exchange.
